Aamir Khan, who recently marked his 60th birthday, has admitted to a flaw in his performance in the sports biopic ‘Dangal’. Interestingly, the mistake was brought to his attention by none other than veteran megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Aamir made this revelation at the Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai, where he attended a special screening of his debut film, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’.

One mistake in Dangal that Amitabh Bachchan pointed out

According to IANS, while reflecting on his illustrious career, the actor spoke about ‘Dangal’, which remains his highest-grossing film to date. Although he considers it one of his finest works, he candidly acknowledged an error that continues to bother him.

Recalling the moment, Aamir explained that an early scene in ‘Dangal’ features his character, a young Mahavir Singh Phogat, celebrating a victory by saying “Yes.” However, Amitabh Bachchan later pointed out that the phrase felt out of place. According to Big B, Mahavir, who hails from a rural background, would never use an English word like “Yes” in such a situation.

Aamir admitted that he regretted the slip but had no way to rectify it in post-production, as editing it out would have disrupted the flow of the film. This, he noted, was a reminder that no performance is ever truly perfect, as even the best actors are prone to making mistakes.

Aamir Khan's personal life

Earlier, Aamir Khan made headlines for a completely different reason—his unexpected public introduction of his partner, Gauri, to the media. The revelation came ahead of his 60th birthday celebrations.

He revealed that he has known Gauri for 25 years, but their bond deepened only two years ago when they reconnected and fell in love.

During the interaction, Aamir spoke candidly about what drew him to Gauri. "I was looking for someone who I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was," he shared. However, while he confirmed their commitment to each other, he expressed reservations about marriage at this stage in his life. "We are fully committed. But at 60, shaadi shayad mujhe shobha nahi degi (marriage at 60 may not suit me)," he remarked.
