According to BBC, quoting a video posted on social media, it shows the helicopter in front of the Royal Palace in Dam Square and emergency vehicles also inside the cordoned-off area. It also mentions that the police are urging anyone with images of the incident to upload them as evidence.

The Amsterdam police wrote on social media X that a motive is currently still unclear but part of the investigation.
