Arvind Kejriwal said that the Punjab government has intensified the crackdown against drug peddlers, with over 4,000 arrests and 2,248 FIRs registered till March 1, 2025.
Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab was fighting the drug menace in Punjab on a war footing and that no drug peddler would be spared.
The former Delhi Chief Minister said the AAP government in Punjab has waged a massive war against drugs. "In the next phase, the big drug suppliers will be attacked. Not a single drug seller or supplier will be spared. During the Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP regimes, they defamed Punjab by calling it 'Udta Punjab'. Now, people are coming together to make a 'Badalta Punjab [changing Punjab]".

Kejriwal Slams BJP, Congress
While speaking at a Shaheed Diwas event, 'Ek Shaam Shaheedon Ke Naam', Arvind Kejriwal compared the BJP and the Congress to British colonial rulers. He also said, "Our ideals are Babasaheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh. Bhagat Singh used to say that just removing the British is not enough. Social norms also need to be changed. If that is not done, our own people will replace the British. That is what has happened in independent India."
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal also said, "Bhagat Singh's letters from jail were censored, but some of his letters were never even distributed. When I was in jail, as August 15 approached, I wrote a letter to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor. I told him that Atishi ji should be allowed to hoist the Tricolor in my absence. That letter was never sent to her."
